Talk about a real tearjerker. You have to take a look at the trailer for “Precious,” originally titled “Push: Based on the Novel by Sapphire.” Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry are the driving forces behind this film about a teenager (Gabourey Sidibe) living a tough life. Not only does she have to deal with economic troubles, obesity and an abusive mother (Mo’Nique), but she’s pregnant too. If that didn’t make you feel for this girl, seeing her situation come to life in the trailer certainly will. On the bright side, it is rather refreshing to see Mariah Carey sans make-up, skimpy dress and Nick Cannon. It’ll also be interesting to see the serious side of Mo’Nique. “Precious” made its premiere at Sundance and will also be shown at the Cannes Film Festival this month. It’ll get a limited release on November 6th.
