Audiences at ShoWest thought the trailer for “The Hangover” was downright hilarious and apparently Warner Brothers Pictures is expecting the film to be just as successful when it’s released June 5th because they’re already working on a sequel. According to Variety, “The Hangover” director, Tom Phillips, will write the second film with Scot Armstrong. Being that the film is about a group of groomsmen who wake up in Vegas with no recollection of what happened the night before, I’m not quite sure where they could go with a sequel. Warner Brothers has made deals for Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms to reprise their roles, so perhaps the boys will bring their antics to a foreign country?
Bon Jovi will rock out at Tribeca. Variety reports that “Bon Jovi: When We Were Beautiful” will make its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 29th. Christian Bale has signed on to join Mark Wahlberg in Hot Endeavor’s “Prisoners.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is about a guy who doesn’t exactly gel with the detective working on the case of the kidnapping of his young daughter and her friend. The dad, a small-town carpenter, decides to take matters into his own hands and captures the guy he thinks is responsible for the crime. THR also adds, “There's a lot more there, but we won't spoil it except to say the two leads have great arcs and the supporting players, especially the mothers, have juicy parts.”
Roger Friedman better hope Wolverine doesn’t come clawing at his door, or, even more terrifying, the immense amount of fanboys he angered. Despite Friedman’s positive review for the film, Wolverine fans still demand his actions result in his dismissal.
