MTV.com reports that the sequel to the 2007 hit "Hairspray" is well on its way! John Waters, one of the original writers for the film is in the works of coming up with a sequel to the smash hit "Hairspray" It seems that everyone who helped produce the original film is on board and ready to go with the next installment! No word on when to expect part two, but we'll keep you posted!

Rumor has it that Ben Affleck might to direct Miramax's new film "Arizona." This is a drama about the 1976 car bomb that killed the reporter Don Bolles. Bolles, was investigating the Mob’s infiltration of the Arizona state government.

Back in November we found out that the Executive Committee of the Academy of Motion Pictures decided to disqualify the score for the film, 'The Dark Knight' due to an issue with the composers (there were so many of them!) Well, now according to slashflim.com, it turns out that the Academy has changed their minds and is now allowing only two of the original five composers (Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard) to compete in the Best Original Score category.

R&B star, Tyrese has officially joined the cast of "Fast and the Furious 4." It seems that Paul Walker was very persistent about having Tyrese back for the 4th installment of the Fast and the Furious saga. The release date is set for June12, 2009.
