DIANE KRUGER.jpgLooks like Tarantino found his girl! His French girl, that is for his current project, "Inglorious Bastards." According to The Hollywood Reporter.com, the talented director has decided to cast Diane Kruger ("Troy," "National Treasure") for the Bridget Von Hammersmark role.

And for you blood-sucking fans of Stephenie Meyer's romantic saga, there's a new trailer for this fall's much-anticipated "Twilight." Click here to watch the trailer!

Pedro Almodovar and Sony unite in "Broken Embraces." According to Variety.com the Spanish director has managed to woo Sony Classics into his new movie "Broken Embraces," which will star and reunite the Director with his "Volver" actress, Penelope Cruz.

thebrothersbloo.jpgLooks like "The Brother's Bloom" (watch the trailer here!) will be only available in limited release in December, instead of October, and then plans on expanding to everywhere else in 2009.

The voice-over master, Don LaFontaine, has passed away yesterday September 1st at the age of 68. Even though many of you may not know him by the sound of his name, but you should definitely recognize him by the sound of his voice. Check out his website right here!don-lafontaine.jpg

The long-discussed remake of the 80s horror classic "Poltergeist" may have a director...

Here are some pix of the set being built in Morocco for the 2010 epic "Prince of Persia" starring Jake Gyllenhaal. Nice to know they're going for honest-to-goodness sets instead of green-screening everything. Oh, and if you know the language the website's written in, please feel free to let us know what it says about the film.

bruce_springsteen.jpgI'm a huge Bruce Springsteen fan, so this next bit of news arrives at an opportune time, as The Boss just wrapped up his most recent world tour last week. Before the inevitable Bruce-drawal begins, I can chew on this interesting bit of news - Springsteen's written a song for Darren Aronofsky's upcoming drama "The Wrestler" starring Mickey Rourke. It's going to play during the closing credits.

In another bit of Bruce movie news, Aint It Cool reports Judd Apatow has written a small part for Springsteen to play himself in the film, which looks at the world of standup comedy. From the article, it appears the part is similar to his nice little cameo in "High Fidelity."

Funny how this comes a month after I posted how a Springsteen movie would be an ideal biopic.

Also, this upcoming weekend, Jeffrey and Alison go over their favorite/best films and worst films of 2008 SO FAR! Ranging from "Wall-E," "The Visitor" and "Elegy" to "88 Minutes."
