One problem I have with the movie version of "Get Smart" is that two great supporting characters, the CONTROL lab geeks Bruce and Lloyd, get very short shrift. The few times they are onscreen, they're hilarious. I wanted more lab geeks.
Turns out Warner Bros. apparently minimized their screen time on purpose. The two characters (Bruce is played by 'Heroes' star Masi Oka, Lloyd by Nate Torrence) star in their own direct-to-dvd adventure, "Get Smart's Bruce and Lloyd Out of Control."
Billed as an industry first, the feature-length film contains a parallel storyline to the plot in the current "Get Smart" movie. In a nutshell, the two lab guys have to locate a missing piece of CONTROL technology. The dvd extras include featurettes on the real science behind the crazy gadgets in the movie, including the micro-plane, as well as tongue-in-cheek 'confessionals from the cast and crew.
